Music is and will always be a significant part of the culture in the United States. The United States has a rich culture in music. In fact, it has the largest music industry in the world and attracts audience from all over the globe.

One of the famous musicians that the United States has produced was Michael Jackson. Known as the "King of Pop," Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He produced "Someone in the Dark," the single used for Hollywood movie "E.T" which gave him his Grammy award for Best Album for Children. Through the years, Jackson made numerous songs that were massive hits such as "Black or White," "Bad," "Thriller" and more. On June 25, 2009, at the aged of 50, Michael Jackson died. His death was considered by many as a great loss in the music industry.

Another famous singer that United States has produced is Madonna. Known as the "Queen of Pop," Madonna was born on August 16, 1958 in Bay City in the state of Michigan. She has made numerous songs that were commercially successful such as 'True Blue," "Like A Prayer," "Vogue," "Material Girl" and much more.

Lastly, there was also Elvis Aaron Presley, known as the "The King of Rock and Roll." Presley was famous for his songs "My happiness," "Heartbreak Hotel and I was the One," "That's When Your Heartaches Begin," and more. Because of his contribution to music, Presley is considered as a cultural icon.
