India is a country full of brilliance and diversity. They love their celebrations and they celebrate with passion and diligence. Weddings are considered sacred and honourable. Indian weddings are distinct, they are getting bigger and deluxe.

The grand Indian weddings and the rising marriage ceremony industry are bound to flourish. It is estimated that the Indian wedding industry will continue to grow at a rate of around 25% per annum. "The distinguished Indian Wedding" is no more an orthodox rite but is fast converting into macro-dollar bread and assuming a new corporate feeling.

There is a common proverb which goes "He who finds a wife finds good thing and obtains favour from the Lord". One feels this thought is valid even today. A man may be single but in possession of large amounts of wealth. Even counted among the richest in the world.A daughter's wedding will just be a mirror of reflection of his wealth. At one of the weddings 30 million pound (Rs 240 crore) was spent, it was perhaps one of the costliest Indian weddings. However many rich fathers are following suit.

The much hyped marriage of business tycoon Lakshmi Mittal's daughters marriage ceremony is a testimony to the reality that wedding market in India is flourishing. This is not just found among the elite even the middle class is joining in because of the increase in disposable income. One other wedding had 10,500-odd invitees; this was a grand wedding all systems out. With guests like the famous Bollywood director Raj Kumar Santos being left spellbound.

At one time one of India's most disputable politicians had threw an overgenerous wedding for his daughter, which was attended by a multitude of guests. Politicians and movie stars were amongst those who attended the marriage ceremony. The father wanted the marriage to meet the standard of a queens wedding. And then it was a present by a king to his little princes. It's all about spending, If you have the money, gypsy dancers, Spanish gig artistes, Russian ballet and Egyptian exotic belly dancer*, gurus of orthodox music and even the hottest Indian pop and film stars could supply entertainment any day any time.

The Indian marriage ceremony Industry is a secure paradise. When planning a wedding everyone just thinks of spending and not the returns. The wedding is expected to push business in other industries. It's a win-win situation. Everybody creates revenue. The journeymen earn money; the services industry makes money and the wedding planners also.
